The history of this Gran Reserva began a quarter of a century ago. Ron Centenario 25 blends a long tradition of rums charged with the essence of wood and the tempting aroma of green apple to create an exquisite balance.

The 25-year expression uses the solera aging method, which involves retaining a bit of the oldest rum in the barrel and blending with the next oldest.

Tasting Notes:

Golden in color, sweet and elegant with a rich aroma of tropical fruits, molasses, tobacco, and oak. Aged 25 years in small American oak casks that were once used for bourbon, this solera rum presents itself sweet and elegant with a rich aroma of tropical fruits, molasses, tobacco, and oak. The smooth taste boasts vanilla and sweet fruit flavors accompanied by delicate notes of wood and citrus. It is distilled four times, creating a smooth and complex flavor profile with notes of butterscotch, caramel, and buttered popcorn. Should be enjoyed neat or on the rocks.

The company producing Ron Centenario 20-Year rum used to be named Seagram de Costa Rica, but in 2002 changed its name to Centenario Internacional. The rum wasn't sold outside of Costa Rica until 2007.
