The Macallan and James Bond are bound together by our shared Scottish heritage, innovative nature, and the pursuit of excellence. They have created a remarkable collection comprising six limited edition bottles inspired by each of The Six Decades of Bond, each decade encapsulated in its own packaging, telling the story of innovation over 60 years and the pioneering character attributes of James Bond and The Macallan.

The 1960s was a singular decade for James Bond. The debut of the suave spy icon onto the silver screen in 1962 was embodied by the inimitable Sean Connery, who went on to appear in six films across the next ten years. Resting only when George Lazenby starred in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969, Sir Sean was to roar back in triumph in 1971’s Diamonds Are Forever

The pack design includes sketches from Goldfinger (1964), You Only Live Twice (1967) where Little Nellie is in a combat sequence, and the dummy jet pack worn by Bond in Thunderball (1965).

About the Producer

The Macallan is a renowned brand, celebrated for its exceptional Scotch whisky, steeped in rich history and tradition. Its story begins in the beautiful Scottish countryside, where the Macallan Estate sits amidst breathtaking landscapes.

The Macallan distillery was founded by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and schoolteacher. The original name of the area was “Maghellan”, taken from the Gaelic word “magh”, meaning fertile ground and “Ellan”, from the Monk St.Fillan - who held a close association with the church that stood in the grounds of The Macallan Estate until 1400. Farmers had been making whisky on their Speyside farms in the area for centuries, using their surplus barley during the quieter winter months.

From its humble beginnings, The Macallan has steadily grown into a global icon, revered by whisky enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. With a commitment to using only the finest ingredients and traditional distillation methods, each expression of The Macallan embodies the essence of its heritage.

Over the years, The Macallan has introduced a wide range of expressions, each distinguished by its unique character and flavor profile. From the rich and complex notes of its sherry oak casks to the smooth and balanced taste of its double cask maturation process, The Macallan continues to push the boundaries of whisky innovation while staying true to its roots.

The Macallan's dedication to quality has earned it numerous accolades and awards, solidifying its reputation as one of the world's leading whisky brands. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as part of a crafted cocktail, The Macallan remains a timeless symbol of luxury and taste, cherished by whisky enthusiasts around the globe.

The reputation of The Macallan is built on a product of outstanding quality and distinctive character, founded upon a set of guiding principles. From place to process, people and passion, the Six Pillars are the backdrop to The Macallan's unique spirit.
