Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero reveals one of Mexico's best-kept secrets: the wondrous state of Guerrero, a little-explored region that shows us yet another facet of Mexican culture. This member of the Clase Azul family was inspired by the singularity of Guerrero’s landscapes, gastronomy, art, and heritage –– but also by the strength and leadership of the women from this region.
Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero is a unique piece. Beyond its beautiful decanter, its majestic flavor comes from a rare variety of agave: the papalote agave. This plant grows wild in the mountain ranges in the state of Guerrero, where both the coastal climate and the freshness of green forests come through in its flavor profile.

Tasting Notes:
Color: Crystal clear with light straw-colored highlights.
Body: Full bodied.
Aroma: Grapefruit skin, fresh wood, rosemary, peanut oil, hints of butter and daisy flowers.
Taste: Fresh wood, seaweed, lemon juice, pepper, and light notes of tobacco.
Semi-fatty fish and shellfish (shrimp, snapper, mahi mahi, or scallops) cooked with butter and lemon or prepared in ceviche.
Tapas with avocado and sour dressings (ranch and honey mustard).
White chocolate with tamarind jam or salted peanuts.
Decanter:
The decanter is an artisanal piece that pays tribute to the ancestral wisdom, tender nature, and warrior spirit of the Mexican woman –– qualities that have made her the heart of Guerrero's culture.
The green color represents jade, a precious stone of extreme value to our ancestral cultures as well as a symbol of eternity.
The four-petaled flowers covering the decanter represent the Fifth Sun –– a pre-Hispanic god known as the origin of everything. The colorful cap features the figure of a hummingbird, the fabled messenger of the Gods, reaffirming its mystical and celestial connection to this Mexican region.

25 years ago, we had a dream: to share the magic of Mexican culture with the world.
Our culture, our traditions, and our land have inspired us on this journey.
Our iconic decanter, a unique creation in the world made by the hands of Mexican artisans, began our dream. Our name was born from our inherent nature. Clase Azul—blue like the agave our spirits are made from and like the paint on our first Reposado decanter.
To make our exquisite creations possible, in 2007 we founded Tradición Mazahua—a ceramic workshop in which Clase Azul artisans dedicate themselves to creating our decanters, tributes to Mexican culture.
