Product Details

Light amber in the glass, this Tequila has fresh aromas of lime, grapefruit and mandarin orange with a rich touch of caramel. Full-bodied and complex on the palate, it has flavors of cooked agave, wild honey and oak-infused butterscotch, and a bright and lightly spiced finish tinged with the essence of wild honey. Aged in small batches for eighteen months in American white oak barrels, this Tequila is rich, distinctive and wonderfully complex, with a flavor that strikes the perfect balance between agave, wood and hints of vanilla.

About the Producer

Don Julio Tequila is named after its founder, Don Julio González-Frausto Estrada, who began distilling Tequila in 1942 at age 17. In 1985, Don Julio González-Frausto celebrated his sixtieth birthday, and his sons commemorated the date by creating a Tequila in his name. Following the sheer popularity of the Tequila in Guadalajara and neighboring cities, they decided to launch the Tequila in 1987. Today, the brand is owned by Diageo.
