Product Details

This American dry gin is distilled five times in a custom, hand-hammered copper still in small batches, with organic botanicals including juniper, coriander, citrus peel and angelica root. Only the smoothest, most flavorful cuts are bottled, leading to a high quality spirit with a gentle mouth feel and a refreshingly light taste. The gin leads with refreshingly sweet aromatics, which give way to a soft and earthy juniper notes. The body is intensely smooth, with a complex depth of flavors, and the bright finish is long and pleasing. Its name was inspired by the birthplace of America—the onset of the American Resolution—where the bluecoats took on the redcoats.

About the Producer

Philadelphia Distilling is the first craft distillery in the state of Pennsylvania since Prohibition, and the award-winning micro-distillery of Bluecoat American Dry Gin, which began production in 2004. Philadelphia Distilling is wholeheartedly committed to lightening their carbon footprint through innovative engineering and techniques that have been incorporated to lower power usage. The spent grains use to make their liquors are exchanged with local farmers when new deliveries of organic rye are made; the spent grains are then used as farm feed and fertilizer. The company’s five core spirits brands are Bluecoat American Dry Gin, Penn 1681 Vodka, Vieux Carré Absinthe Supérieure, XXX Shine Corn Whiskey and The Bay Seasoned Vodka.

A fantastic gin and a great value. Strong juniper flavor without being overly sweet. A winning choice for any gin lover.
